Kino Border Initiative and "Proyecto de Vida"

Sister Eileen McKenzie is a Franciscan Sister of Adoration, currently ministering with the Kino Border Initiative. She accompanies people on the move in Nogales, Sonora and works in the U.S. with networks who accompany and advocate for people who have migrated in their communities. Kino Border Initiative is a bi-national, inclusive Roman Catholic organization located in Nogales, Sonora. The mission is to promote humane, just and workable migration through:

• Direct humanitarian assistance and holistic accompaniment of migrants

• Education and encounter between migrants and others that transforms people and communities towards solidarity with migrants

• Policy advocacy in Mexico and the U.S.

The presentation will include artisan crafts made by women who participate in the Proyecto de Vida workshops.
