Second Tuesday Talks: Iran, Observations & Experiences

Michael Zaccaria will present, through lecture and slide show, his impressions of Iran after visiting the country in 2018. He will discuss its politico-religious landscape, holiday observances, and Armenians, Jews and Zoroastrians. In addition, he will describe the UN presence in Iran and assess the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

Michael has an MA in History, an Ed.D in Higher Education Administration and an ABD as a Doctor of Arts in History. He spent 34 years at Cumberland County College, Vineland, New Jersey, 20 years presenting courses in History and Geography and 14 years as an administrator. Starting in 2003 he has presented courses on the History of the Middle East at Pima Community College and the University of Arizona.
